DIESEL CARE...THE PREMIER DIESEL SERVICE COMPANY SERVING MEMPHIS AND THE SOUTHEAST.Diesel Care and Performance Inc For questions or comments 901-380-9290This is a new, never installednumber nine resistor for all 6.5L electonic applications. It installs into the pump mounted driver that controls your injection pump on a 6.5L diesel Chevrolet or GMC application. It will also work on the military and Hummer applications equipped with the electronic injection system. We have free installation instructions available if needed. What is the difference between the no. nine resistor and the stock resistor? -The injection pump fuel delivery is fine tuned with a resistor in the PMD. The resistors range in number from one to nine. The number nine will deliver the highest fuel delivery. If no resistor is used, the pump will default to thelowest possilbe value. We recommend using the number nine resistor to give you that little extra performance. Where does the resistor go? See belowINSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS – PMD RESISTORInstallation of a PMD resistor is accomplished by first removing the old resistor from the PMD. First remove the wiring harness to access the female pronged receptacle on the PMD. Using an o-ring pick, gently insert the tip of the pick into one of the outer holes in the resistor. Using slight force, angle the pick back and upward to remove the resistor. To install the new resistor, line up the notched area with the curvature of the resistor and place it over the prongs. Using a small screw driver, gently force the resistor down over the prongs until it bottoms out in the PMD. Slight force may be needed to seat the resistor onto the prongs. Use caution not to bend any of the prongs during removal on installation. For help with our products, find us on the web at http://www.dieselcare.us/helpfiles.htmlWe are proud to be a member of the Assocation of Diesel Specialist.
